About Labs 4 Home
Labs 4 Home is a service that provides the hands-on lab experience necessary to learn
science. These lab classes give the student the chance to work with science equipment and
other students with the supervision and direction of an experienced instructor.
The goal of Labs 4 Home is to provide the student with a friendly, non-threatening,
non-intimidating environment where experiments and activities necessary to learn science
can be performed. It is also a goal of Labs 4 Home to give the student a positive experience
with the subject of science and to support and encourage the student for their future.
Science is based on gaining knowledge from observation and experimentation which many
people in history have contributed to. What better way to study science then to actively
observe and experiment with science? Home school students do not always have the
opportunity to have a lab to participate in this learning process, so the services of Labs 4
Home can help you in this area. Students have a fun time during the labs and find that
science is actually interesting. Maybe there will be some future doctors or engineers!

About The Instructor
All of the lab classes are taught by Greg Beers. He has many years
of teaching science to the home school community as well as some
private and charter schools. With college degrees in biology and
chemistry, he continually educates himself in the areas of science,
math, and many other areas of interest. Greg started teaching
home school students while he was in college. It started, oddly
enough, as a hobby and with the help of the principal of an ISP
group in San Diego, Greg taught a biology lab for many of their
students, for one year which led into teaching a following year of
biology and chemistry. From there it spread to the North County
area, included more science subjects, and grew from a hobby to a
full-time career! Greg continues to learn about science, creative
ways to explain science and still loves working with young people,
inspiring them to be their best.
